Short Bio:

Ulrike Kuhl joined the machine learning group at CITEC in 2019 as a Postdoctoral researcher. Her academic interests focus on developing explanations of automated decision making and machine learning models that meet the cognitive requirements of end users. Additionally, she coordinates the BMBF-funded research project ITS.ML, promoting the accessibility of machine learning innovations for industrial application. Prior to her time at the Hammer Lab at the University of Bielefeld, Ulrike completed her PhD studies at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig. In 2019, she received her doctoral degree from the University of Leipzig, Germany, on the topic of "The brain basis of emerging literacy and numeracy skills".
