New NBS member Frank Lucio Maldonado Huayaney

We welcome Frank Lucio Maldonado Huayaney as a new NBS member. He has joined our research group on the 1st of May 2014.

Frank Lucio Maldonado Huayaney is a PhD student working in the neuromorphic field. His main project is to develop a VLSI calcium based plasticity learning model with potential application in computational neuroscience basic research investigation. Frank has received his bachelor degree in electronic engineering in Peru and his master degree in Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan, then he received training about Cadence tools for analog chip design and also worked in digital chip design field in Brazil. His main interests are analogue VLSI design and neural circuits.
