I am working on the Intelligent Coaching Space (ICSPACE) project. This project has the goal to develop a virtual coaching environment for sports training and rehabilitation using a Virtual Reality setup. The project is split in multiple workpackages, where my task is to create and animate lifelike virtual characters/avatars. These characters should be 'Virtual Clones' of real humans. This involves 3D-Scanning of people and to process these 3D-scans so that the result can be animated in real time inside the Virtual Reality setup. The goal is to have a fully automatic and efficient virtual cloning system.
