Compared to commonly used (deep) artificial neural networks, Spiking Neural Networks are a step closer to biological brains. This project establishes, measures and compares efficiency comparisons between different approaches for implementing spiking networks (neuromorphic hardware systems and simulators) and the biological role model, providing a roadmap for future developments.
