2nd Eye-Tracking-Workshop
From 29–30 September 2015, the second international workshop on eye tracking research (SAGA) will take place at CITEC. SAGA stands for “Solutions for Automatic Gaze-Data Analysis.” Researchers will discuss challenges in the field, new developments, and the use of mobile technologies to track eye movements. In this context, researchers are particularly interested in investigating how to gather eye movement data in natural environments. At a supermarket, for instance, where does the customer’s eye go when picking out a box of muesli? There are also potential industrial applications – this technology could be used, for example, to analyse virtual automotive prototypes in real time. The project ADAMAAS, financed by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research with a total of 1.2 million Euro, also makes use of this technology. The smart glasses for ADAMAAS are designed to make the tasks of daily living easier, particularly for handicapped people and senior citizens.
