To monitor the large number of sensors in our Cognitive Service Robotics Apartment we developed an event-based sonification called Eveson that generates pleasant and unobtrusive ambient soundscapes based on these complex data streams.

Eveson supports the individual selection of data streams and types and the configuration of how they should be sonified. The bundle of all data to sound mappings is stored in a theme configuration. For our prototype we especially selected only sounds occurring in local natural forest environments to increase the familiarity of the soundscape for the user.
