My PhD project deals with the topic of sexual objectification which can be understood as the act of reducing a person to his or her body and/or to instrumentalize her as sexual resource. With my PhD project, I aim to research into the reasons why people sexual objectify others. It is assumed, that sexual objectification does fulfil functions on an individual, interpersonal and societal level.
