MentScience |
The interdisciplinary and interfaculty mentoring program MentScience for female Ph.D. students from the excellence institutions of CITEC and BGHS (Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology) as well as from the research institute CoR-Lab (Research Institute for Cognition and Robotics) started in the winter semester of 2009/2010.
MentScience is comprised of the following modules: mentoring-partnership, group coaching, workshops and trainings, networking, as well as a general framework program. All of these follow the QM standards for scientific mentoring programs given by the German Forum Mentoring e.V.
As a flexible instrument of the gender-oriented promotion of young researchers, MentScience strives to effectively support transformation processes in universities and science in general: In addition to a qualified and effective career planning service, MentScience also supports interdisciplinarity and the acquisition of diversity competences.
