Virtual Faculty

The Virtual Faculty consists of a group of nationally and internationally renowned scientists from the different research areas within CITEC. Members of the virtual faculty visit Bielefeld regularly, e.g. during one of the colloquia, workshops, and conferences held in Bielefeld or during the CITEC summer schools. They play an active part in creating a stimulating environment by contributing their significant expertise and in turn spreading research results as well as actively promoting the initiation of CITEC's young researchers into the international community. In addition, there is an active exchange of Ph.D students and postdocs.

All CITEC members can apply to the Scientific Board for funding for visits and other activities to foster scientific exchange, especially with members of the Virtual Faculty.
