Gender Mainstreaming & Diversity Management

CITEC believes in excellence through innovative and sustainable gender mainstreaming and diversity management in the fields of expertise and consulting, recruiting and promotion of young researchers, and promotion of higher level management. Our activities are aimed at the following:

  • recruiting of female students in relevant fields of study,
  • having a higher percentage of female scientists in research and teaching,
  • having a higher percentage of female scientists in leading positions,
  • supporting gender equality and diversity-oriented transformation processes in universities and science in general,
  • presenting innovative perspectives in order to change gender- and science-specific roles,
  • assuring the compability of parenthood with research and management activities,
  • strengthening diversity competences.

An integral part of all gender mainstreaming and diversity management programs and projects is that they are successively optimised through regular target audience-oriented assessments of needs. Another important aspect is that they are continuously evaluated. Structurally, they are designed as cooperation projects. All of these projects and programs are readily implementable.
