Development and provision of functional software components. The activities of CLF are currenty focused on the following aspects:

• Software Round Table: Regular strategic meeting of CITEC research groups in order to exchange experience and discuss software solutions for building an cognitive interaction toolkit. The Software Round Table is managed by the Central Lab.
• Tools for supporting the software development process: The CLF provides and maintains tools for project management (redmine), social networking (elgg), and model-based software development (magic draw).
• Interaction devices and components: The CLF develops software interfaces as well as drivers and controllers for specialized hardware.
